Directions:
Head down the driveway and onto South End. Turn left on the Coastal Road and take the first right onto Cross Lane. Turn right at the end onto Rocks Lane and continue onto Field Lane. Once you reach the Kennels, follow the road round to the right towards the Cleveland Way, a long-distance path that follows the coast of the North York Moors National Park.
Follow the Cleveland Way signs towards Hayburn Wyke, taking in the scenic cliff-top views over the North Sea.
You’ll see Scarborough Castle in the distance and the coastal heathland of the National Park.
After approximately 2.5 miles, you'll arrive at Hayburn Wyke, a secluded cove known for its dramatic cliffs and beautiful beach. Follow signs for the Hayburn Wyke Inn and return via the Cinder Track.

Wildlife: The Cleveland Way is rich with birdlife, including peregrine falcons and seabirds, as well as opportunities to spot seals along the coast.
Tip: The trail can be uneven and steep in places, so sturdy footwear is recommended, especially during winter when it can be very muddy.
